Lleida – La Pobla de Segur line

The railway line Ca7, commonly known as Lleida - La Pobla de Segur line is a commuter/regional line currently operated by RENFE on Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) infrastructure, and administered by the Autoritat Territorial de la Mobilitat de l'Àrea de Lleida. In 2010, the line will be fully operated by FGC, dropping the RENFE name Ca7. It was opened in 1951 in order to communicate Lleida, the capital of the province of the same name, with La Pobla de Segur, a town in the Pyrenees.

A 70% of its passengers concentrate in the Lleida—Balaguer section, which constitutes a regular commuter service, and the possibility of converting it into a tram-like service has been considered by the Generalitat de Catalunya. On the other hand, the rest is basically a regional line with tourist use. Journey time for the whole line is 1 hour and 50 minutes.
